Rebecca Parant, PMHNP-BC
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, specializing in medication management.
When we begin working together, we will start by discussing your work life, family situation, lifestyle, medical conditions, and family history. Using a collaborative and educational approach we will then develop individualized treatment goals for you and implement a plan of care focusing on reduction or elimination of distressing symptoms. Longer term goals will focus on creating or restoring a sense of calm well-being and strengthening coping strategies. You will find me to be empathetic, non-judgmental and dedicated to offering thorough, individualized care as we work together.
Clients are often reluctant to try medication and worry that they will need to take medication for the rest of their life. Although medication may be recommended, it is only prescribed when absolutely necessary and is used as one part of a holistic treatment plan. The risks and rewards of continuing medication are evaluated on an ongoing basis, and you and I will discuss your needs regularly. Labs, genetic testing, evidence-based dietary supplements, nutrition, and sleep habits are additional areas of focus that may be addressed through our work together.
I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years in a variety of settings. I work with all age groups, especially adults in their mid-twenties to mid-sixties to treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, panic disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. If there is a condition that is keeping you from being your best personally or professionally, I look forward to working with you to help you improve your level of health and well-being.
