What can I expect at the first session?

Your first session will involve discussing your concerns, goals, and developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs.


How often are sessions?

Depending on your insurance company, and your individual need, sessions can be twice a week, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.


How long is an appointment?

Most therapy sessions last [50-60] minutes. The frequency and duration will be discussed and adjusted based on your needs.


Do you offer telehealth and in-person sessions?

Teletherapy Options: We offer virtual therapy sessions via secure video platforms for those who prefer or require remote access.

Accessibility Features: Our EHR system is designed to be user-friendly and accessible for individuals with various needs.

We also offer in-person appointments in our Warwick, Cranston, and Johnston locations.


Do you offer substance abuse counseling?

While we do not offer substance abuse counseling, we are able to provide contact information for emergency services and crisis hotlines.


What ages does Brightside Behavioral Health work with?

Brightside Behavioral Health works with ages 3 +


What types of Therapy do you offer?

Evidence-Based Practices: We use therapy methods supported by research, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which has been shown to effectively treat depression and anxiety.

Tailored Approaches: Our therapists tailor their approaches based on individual needs, preferences, and specific concerns.

What are your therapists’ qualifications and credentials?

All of our therapists are licensed and trained professionals with degrees in psychology, counseling, or social work. They hold certifications and ongoing training in their areas of expertise.


How do I schedule an appointment?

What are your office hours?

Our office hours are Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Flexible Scheduling: We offer evening and weekend appointments to accommodate different schedules.

Emergency Contacts: While we do not offer 24/7 support, we provide contact information for emergency services and crisis hotlines.


What is your cancellation policy?

We require [24-hour] notice for cancellations. An $80.00 charge may be initiated for missed appointments without prior notice.

Medication Guidance: Brightside Behavioral Health offers telehealth and in-person Medication Management services, making it much easier for us to provide guidance and support regarding medication used alongside therapy to our clients.

Integrated Care: We collaborate with your psychiatrists and primary care providers to integrate therapy with medication management if needed.
