Mariah DiToro
My name is Mariah, and I'm a dedicated mental health counselor here. At Brightside, we prioritize your well-being and strive to create a nurturing environment where you can embark on your therapeutic journey.
With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State University and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johnson & Wales University, I bring a solid educational foundation to our sessions. But it doesn't stop there - I have hands-on experience too! I've spent over two and a half years working with a hospital, providing in-home therapy services to children and families in crisis situations.
If you're seeking help for yourself or your loved ones, I specialize in working with children, teenagers, and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, and various other diagnoses and life challenges. I'm passionate about helping you find effective solutions and guiding you towards a positive change.
In addition to my diverse experience, I enjoy incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychoeducation into our sessions. However, I understand that every individual is unique, and I'm always open to exploring other interventions and techniques to suit your needs.
Your comfort and safety are paramount to me. Together, we will create a secure space where you can freely process your emotions and experiences. I'm dedicated to providing you with the skills and tools necessary to overcome obstacles and achieve your personal goals.
