Olga Gorea

Hello, my name is Olga Gorea, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in integrative psychiatric care for adults. I provide a thoughtful blend of medication management and evidence-based therapy, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I work with adults navigating a wide range of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and co-occurring substance use conditions. My passion lies in supporting individuals living with trauma-related symptoms and those in long-term recovery, helping them regain emotional stability, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Much of my clinical experience has been shaped by years working in correctional settings and detox units—particularly with women managing complex trauma and early recovery. This background deeply informs my understanding of how systemic stress, trauma, and resilience intersect in mental health care.

In my current practice, each patient receives a thorough psychiatric evaluation followed by an individualized treatment plan that may include medication, short-term therapy, or EMDR, depending on their goals. I also integrate mindfulness, harm reduction principles, and lifestyle-based recommendations to support healing on multiple levels. I often collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.

My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in mutual respect. I believe healing happens in relationships that feel safe and empowering—and I strive to create that kind of space with every patient I meet. Whether you're dealing with long-standing symptoms or facing new challenges, my goal is to support you with practical tools, clinical insight, and ongoing encouragement.
