Emily Feeney
Emily “Em” Feeney, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across educational, behavioral health, crisis intervention, and community based settings. Their experience includes trauma informed care, crisis stabilization, social emotional and behavioral interventions, and collaboration across systems of care.
Em works with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health needs and has particular experience supporting individuals recovering from substance use disorders. They use a person centered, integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques. Their previous clinical experience includes adult partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, crisis intervention, therapeutic program development, and leadership roles within school based mental health services.
Em earned their bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and their Master of Social Work from Rhode Island College. They are a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and also hold school social work credentials, with specialized training in crisis intervention, trauma informed practices, therapeutic crisis management, positive behavioral supports, and Reiki.
Em is passionate about helping people better understand themselves, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. Their work is grounded in evidence based practice, cultural humility, and a compassionate, collaborative approach that recognizes each person's individual experiences, strengths, and goals.
Em is available for in person appointments at Brightside's Warwick and Riverside locations, as well as telehealth appointments upon request.
