Kate Diana
Hi, I’m Kate, a clinician at Brightside Behavioral Health.
I have a bachelor's in Psychology from The University of Rhode Island and a master's in Thanatology from Marian University. I am a member of ADEC (Association for Death Education and Counseling) where I am in the process of obtaining my Fellowship in Thanatology.
Why am I becoming a therapist? I learned at an early age that everyone needs help at some point and I want to be there to help. I like helping people and providing a safe space where they can open up, unjudged and unfiltered. I believe that everyone has special gifts and talents they bring to this world and the ability to change if they want to.
I specialize in Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Eating Disorders, and Chronic Illness. Along with End of Life issues, Terminal Illness, Self-Harm, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRB), Suicidal Tendencies, and Trauma. I also have a certification in Suicidality and Traumatology and is experienced with Complex and Disenfranchised Grief.
I believe in the power of sharing stories and I hope to be able to share insight from your experiences to help you gain a deeper sense of self and establish healthy coping strategies. No matter where you are or what you are going through, I am dedicated to providing you with unconditional support and a safe space to help you process and become the best version of yourself that you can be both inside and out. I strive to provide a safe nurturing environment for individuals to process emotions, nobody grieves the same and nobody behaves the same.
I make a point to be open and honest and supportive of my clients in whatever way possible. Remember you are not alone and there are people who care.
Please schedule an appointment if you feel as though I would be a good match as a clinician for you, your family, or your child.
