Katie Andrews


Katie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with five years of experience providing individual and couples therapy to a diverse group of adults and older adolescents in a private practice setting. Her therapy sessions are rooted in her training: the Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) model, which is a deeply respectful, trauma-sensitive, and client-led approach. Her sessions integrate IFS with a variety of approaches that suit her client’s needs (including but not limited to: humanistic, psychodynamic, narrative, ACT, and Emotionally Focused Therapy).
She also enjoys offering her clients tools and resources, such as mindfulness training, book/video suggestions, guided imagery, coaching techniques, and journaling prompts. She views all of her clients as creative, resourceful and whole, which means she believes they already have the essential qualities they need to resolve whatever conflict they are facing. They may simply need space to talk through what they are going through, the ability to view themselves and their problem from a new perspective, or a specific approach that can help them work through an unresolved trauma that is currently holding them back in some way. Therapy can truly deliver.
