Early Intervention

We recognize ongoing stress, anxiety, and trauma that so many in our community are facing. To support and give care to those who are struggling with these difficulties and to prevent long-term trauma that occurs as a result of these experiences, we established the PTSD/EMDR Center.

EMDR Early Intervention can be viewed as having two arms: treatment and prevention. It is not only a major traumatic event that can cause a psychological disturbance. Sometimes a relatively minor event from childhood, such as being teased by one’s peers or disparaged by one’s parent, can result in personality problems and become the basis of current dysfunctional reactions.
