Hi, my name is Erin Mancini-Geer, I am an independent and licensed mental health counselor in the state of Rhode Island. As a holistic counselor, my focus is on the person as a whole and not just the situation they are facing.

I come from a Person-Centered framework and also tailor the therapeutic experience to the individual and situation. Like life, therapy is ever-changing, evolving, and growing.

I am passionate about helping children and teens find their voice and develop healthy coping skills for now and their future as I believe this time in a young person’s life will help shape who they are and who they will become.

I am a graduate of Salve Regina University, earning my Master of Arts degree in Holistic Mental Health Counseling as well as my Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS). I have been providing therapeutic services to children, teens, and adults for many years and earned my License in Mental Health Counseling which gave me the experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

My professional areas of interest include behavioral modification, school issues, parenting, coping skills, and life transitions.

I love anything that has to do with the outside, being outside is very grounding for me. Especially hiking in the mountains with my family. I love star gazing and learning astronomy. I also enjoy baking tasty treats and attempting DIY home projects.

Prior to coming on board with Brightside Behavioral Health, I worked in the non-profit sector with adults. After years of non-profit work, I transitioned to a behavioral school in Rhode Island, where I worked with children and teens with behavioral and mental health challenges.
I worked closely with parents as a guide through the school system, and IEP meetings, advocating for services to aid in the success of their children both academically and socially/emotionally.
